Décès annoncé d’un supporter ivoirien à Dakar : Le préfet dément catégoriquement (communiqué)
Après le match Sénégal-Côte d’Ivoire, remporté par les Ivoiriens, des informations ont circulé faisant croire qu’un étudiant ivoirien a été tué. Après le démenti de l’association des étudiants ivoiriens, c’est le préfet du département de Dakar, Cheikh Mouhamadou Blondin Ndiaye, qui dément à son tour dans un communiqué reçu à Seneweb.
« A la suite du match de football entre les équipes sénégalaise et ivoirienne, joué ce lundi 29 janvier 2024, une rumeur faisant état du décès d’un ressortissant ivoirien circule sur internet.
L’autorité chargée de veiller à la sécurité publique informe qu’aucun cas de décès en lien avec cet événement sportif ou de violence visant la communauté ivoirienne n’a été constaté dans le Département de Dakar.
Aucun individu victime de violences n’a été reçu dans les services hospitaliers après le match. Aucune déclaration de violence sur des étrangers n’a été enregistrée par les services de police.
Le premier Secrétaire de l’Ambassade de la République de Côte d’Ivoire à Dakar a confirmé, à la télévision ivoirienne, qu’après vérification, cette rumeur s’est révélée totalement fausse.
Les services compétents restent engagés dans leur mission consistant à assurer la sécurité des citoyens sénégalais et des ressortissants étrangers établis au Sénégal », a écrit le préfet de Dakar. »
